Privacy overview

Lighthouse is designed to be local-first. The app does not require a developer-hosted account system, and most information stays on your device unless you choose to share specific categories.

Local-first by default

Content you enter is stored on your device by default.

No required account

You can use Lighthouse without creating an account with the developer.

Optional CloudKit sharing

If you choose to share selected categories with friends, sharing uses Apple CloudKit and a sharing link.

Shared category updates

When shared categories are updated, those shared updates may sync through the user’s iCloud/CloudKit environment.

Shared categories may include mood, calendar, journals, and medication, depending on the features you choose to use.
